Dear Learner,

Greetings. I trust you are keeping well through Covid-19 crisis.

I hereby have pleasure in introducing myself as Prof. P.V.K.Sasidhar, Programme Coordinator – MADVS at IGNOU Head Quarters, New Delhi.

Welcome to IGNOU family and we greatly appreciate your interest in MADVS. By enrolling into MADVS programme you have become a student of IGNOU - one of the Mega Universities in the World. It is quite likely that you are getting this first ever experience as a distance learner. We are in fact physically at a distance from you. But as far as the teaching-learning activity is concerned, we are very close to you and always with you in the form of our Self Learning Material (SLM) and through other student support services from IGNOU HQrs, Regional Centres and Study Centres.

By March 1st week, most of you might have received the hard copies of the study material and programme guides from Material Production  and Distribution Division / Regional Centres. If not, you will receive them soon, once the logistics and postal services are fully restored.

For your ready reference, soft copies of all MADVS study material (1st Year) along with Programme Guide and Assignments are attached with this mail.

You can also download ‘IGNOU e-Content’ mobile app from Google play store and access MADVS study material.

To start with, read the attached ‘Programme Guide’ thoroughly. Keep it handy till you complete the programme and refer it as and when you get any doubt about progressing further in this programme. This Programme Guide provides you important information about the programme as a whole, viz., objectives, structure, mode of delivery, programme schedule, counseling sessions, assignments, evaluation, etc.

Also attached the copy of assignments which you need to submit by September 2020 so as to write 1st year Term End Examinations in December 2020. Go through the study material and answer the assignments.  Please send the hand written assignments by speed post to me at the following address:
