Dr. Zothanchhingi Khiangte is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Bodoland University. She is incharge of the Centre for Women’s Studies, Bodoland University as the Coordinator. She is also the Member Secretary of Women’s Cell. She has spoken on several issues of gender, literature and culture in various national and international seminars. She has been the Chief Editor of Transcript: Journal of Literature and Cultural Studies. She has published various articles in edited books, newspapers and journals. She has convened an International and National Seminars on themes related to Gender and Culture. She has been granted a major project under the Ministry of DoNER on “Empowering Marginalised Women of the Sixth Scheduled Areas of Assam through Skill Education”. Seven PhD scholars have been awarded their degrees under her supervision.
